Head of HR
Salary – up to £50k
Exciting times at St Brendan’s Sixth Form College!
St Brendan’s Sixth Form College is a highly aspirational college situated in the south of Bristol in an exceptional modern campus setting, and serves both the city and a wide surrounding area including Bath, and parts of Somerset, South Gloucestershire and Wiltshire.
One of only two Sixth Form Colleges in the South West, the college welcomes a diverse range of over 1700 students. The College is on a journey to become outstanding after Ofsted inspectors found the College to be ‘Good’ in its October 2012 inspection.
We are currently seeking to appoint a new Head of HR who will be part of our relatively new senior management team advising on and driving the People strategy. You will demonstrate a true passion for developing and delivering exceptional people plans that will help enable the college to grow further and achieve excellence in everything we do. Working both operationally and strategically in this very varied and exciting role, you will manage a small team and deliver a proactive HR service to all staff.
We are looking for someone who has a collaborative leadership style and is able to build strong working relationships, providing a professional and supportive advice service to all levels of staff in the college. Your proven experience of delivering high quality HR generalist support to a range of stakeholders and dealing with complex employee caseloads is essential. You will also have an understanding of employee forums and/or unions as well as implementing change management albeit on a small scale. You do not need to have education sector experience but must be willing to roll up your sleeves and be proactive.
Our people are at the very heart of our journey and we need you, so join us!
Note: You do not need to have a faith background as we welcome individuals from a variety of backgrounds and religious / belief traditions.
