- Hear from the college themselves on how they approached their work and ensured wide-reaching impact
- Take advantage of tried and tested methods to apply in your college
This award is supported by RCU and AoC seeks to celebrate outstanding examples of student support provided by a College for a significant group of students, across a whole provision or college wide approach. This award might cover both student and learning support. The provision will be above and beyond what is the ‘norm’ and applications are not restricted to a specific type of course or programme”.
Beacon Assessors commented “Activate Learning (Reading College) offered an impressive model, which was clear, transparent and transferable. The college’s excellent collaborative approach evidences clear partnership working with the local authority and other community organisations through a joint approach. There is an exceptional range of opportunities provided which broadens the learner opportunities, builds attributes and improves life chances through the use of Learning Shops.
An inclusive and bespoke curriculum is flipped in its approach to support all learners to gain employability skills in the transition to employment. There are excellent opportunities for staff to transition between Learning Support and the Business role, which in turn supports the progression and development of staff.”
