AoC HE Conference

AoC’s College Higher Education conference is is the ideal opportunity for college HE leaders, managers and practitioners to hear the latest proposals in the HE sector and to explore what these mean for college based higher education.

The HE sector has been witnessing a considerable level of change in recent years. At a time when some significant policies continue to be developed, other initiatives are in the implementation phase.

We will have representation from the key agencies, offering you access to ask your pertinent questions. We will also have lots of college’s offering case studies.

Which speakers will be at the event?

  • Nicole Dandridge, Chief Executive, Office For Students
  • Douglas Blackstock, Chief Executive, QAA
  • Carys Fisher, Senior Policy Executive, UCAS
  • Rob Phillpotts, Managing Director HESA Statutory and Neha Agarwa, Head of Research and Insight, HESA
  • Department for Education
  • Advance HE

There will be plenty of networking opportunities so you can share advice with peers and explore potential solutions to some of the challenges you face in your role.

What did past delegates say?

‘This really is the ‘must attend’ event of the year for those who lead or managed HE in FE environments. Vital and up to the minute information is communicated by key speakers and there are simply excellent opportunities for networking.’
Dr Jo Kear, Head of HE Curriculum and Standards, South Gloucestershire and Stroud College

‘One of the best conferences I have attended because of the updates provided both in terms of regulation but also education developments such as the review of higher technical education. I arrived with a number of questions which I am considering from a strategic perspective and the conference has answered some and provided further aspects for me to consider. The information will help me shape our strategy for our HE provision both in the short term (reacting to the regulatory changes) but also long term as we shape the direction of our HE curriculum.’
Alexandra Sermon, Assistant Principal, City of Bristol College

‘A very informative conference when the sector is going through so much change. Key notes and breakout sessions were very useful and great to be able to discuss issues with colleagues.’
Jo Anson, Senior Development Officer, Lakes College West Cumbria
