Newsroom Bootcamp: Tips from a newsroom broadcaster on delivering effective virtual internal communications

We are all broadcasters now. It’s so important that we are all confident communicating, leading and taking part in meetings remotely. Led by John Young, a TV journalist with more than 30 years’ experience at the BBC, this new AoC masterclass will teach you the art of delivering clear and succinct communication and is based on a real-time TV newsroom experience.

Meetings are just like news bulletins. They need headlines, they need confident delivery, and they need to start and end on time. Otherwise your audience will just tune out. You will leave the workshop with the ability to tell stories in minutes – because with a fast-approaching lunchtime deadline, there’s no time for waffle.

You will get access to the 90 minute masterclass taught by John Young, a workbook and a follow up question and answer session the following week, to enable you to ask any questions after you have put your new skills into practice.

The main masterclass session will take place at 10.30am on Tuesday 14 July with the follow-up Q&A session taking place at 10.30am on Wednesday 22 July.
