AoC Safe Students, Safe Colleges Conference
This unique event will look at the issues around keeping your college and students safe. Offering you the chance to discuss effective ways to improve the safety of your students from three perspectives: off-site, on-site and on-line.
We know that keeping students safe in college is a top priority for you, but we also know it is a complex task. You will leave this event with valuable and practical guidance from experts and ideas from college case studies on how to support your students and increase their safety.
There will be ample opportunity for you to raise questions and network, ensuring that your time out of the office is well spent and you have a roadmap of actions to improve your approach to this important area.
What can you expect to see on the programme?
- Insight from Dr. Laura Zahra McDonald the Director from Connect Future about how you can safeguard your students against extremism
- Marie Stock from the Violence Reduction Unit will share key advice about working with other agencies to promote safety
- Students from the Student Commission on knife crime in London will share what they believe colleges are already do well to tackle knife crime and their Manifesto for Action for change
