Senior Leadership Training in Further Education

Are you ready to develop your strategic leadership skills to help drive your college through these complex times?

You know that your college needs a strong team of strategic leaders to help support the students it serves in its community. Developing these skills can seem overwhelming and it can be hard to have the space to work on the college and not in it, especially in the current times. But, your college needs to strategically look forward enabling it to be ready for future challenges and opportunities.

‘I was planning to make the next step to progress in my career as a senior leader and the AoC Senior Leadership Development Programme offered me the strategic transformation I needed. The programme had a great balance between theory and practice and enabled me to develop a network of senior colleagues in the sector.’ Joanne Terry-Marchant, Principal, Highlands College

Introducing AoC’s Senior Leadership Development Programme

This highly interactive and well-regarded programme develops the strategic skills of senior leaders in the further education sector in a complex and uncertain world. The programme not only offers you an analysis of global strategic development best practice but also enables you to put your new knowledge into practice straight away.

We understand the value of face to face networking is extremely high, particularly in a programme like this, but your safety and that of our trainers is the priority at this time. We have therefore made the decision to deliver all modules online between now and February 2021.

Our trainers are working hard to ensure that the programme is as engaging and exciting online as it is in a physical environment. We will do our best to ensure your networking and ability to connect with each other in the group is not affected by this change.

By joining this programme you will spend time to:
☑️ Make sense of who you are as a leader. What you stand for, what you are good at, and not so good at, and the impact you have upon those you work with
☑️ Discuss what makes a great team and a great partnership, how you measure up currently, where you should be and how you can get there
☑️ Work through a framework to clarify the core purpose of your organisation and how it relates internally and externally – enabling you to build leadership strategies to ensure future success.

As a result of my engagement with the programme, I developed long lasting connections with other professionals. Several years later, this network remains a current resource that I can call upon to share practice or discuss organisational challenges. As a leader, being able to draw upon connections with other colleagues from across the country has been incredibly useful.’ Ellen Thinnesen, Chief Executive, Education Partnership North East
